Jordan Roseman is a  nationally recognized San Franciscan mashup artist who has been praised for technical sophistication in his songwriting as well as his extensive music and video mashups.

Each December since 2007 he has released a mashup of the top 25 hits of the year selected from Billboard’s Year-End Hot 100 singles list. These mashups are a part of his series titled “United State of Pop,” and DJ Earworm gives each mashup a different subtitle each year. The fifth mashup in the series, “United State of Pop 2011 (World Go Boom),” was released on Christmas Day. This mashup is different than the others in the series which were all from Billboard’s Year-End lists. This time around DJ Earworm based the mashup on the weekly charts to “ensure that all the late-breaking hits were
included.”

The following hits are included in the 2011 mashup: “Rolling In The Deep,” Adele; “Pumped Up Kicks,” Foster the People; “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” Katy Perry; “Born This Way,” Lady Gaga; “The Show Goes On,” Lupe Fiasco; and “We Found Love,” Rihanna.

I love the 2011 Mashup. It’s catchy and fun, as it should be considering it’s made up of the hottest songs of 2011. But don’t take my word for it,  go check it out for yourself! You can listen to the mashup (and his other mashups) on YouTube or djearworm.com (where you can also download them). Keep up with the weekly charts to see if you can predict which songs will be on “United States of Pop 2012!”
